“I’m afraid that … he is just not going to get the independents that we need to win.”

“My name is Clay and I’m up in Northwest Washington and I voted for Donald Trump in 2016 and 2020, but I feel that the Republican party really needs to move away from him. Things that I did like about Trump’s presidency was taking care of our country first, standing up to China, which is a real threat now, which really scares me.

“And, most all of his programs I agreed with, I just, the guy’s personality and, just his ego, I think gets in his way of making decisions. He doesn’t seem to listen to anybody else, but Donald Trump. I’m afraid that there’s just so many, Trump is so polarizing that he is just not going to get the independence that we need to win.

“I’d like a Republican candidate that still has the values of the Republican party, the conservative values, and, but is just not so toxic and he can be more diplomatic and he can appeal to. Moderates and get them on the conservative side. I’m going to be a definite non-Trump voter in the primary. I will vote for somebody else.”
