“I’ve basically voted straight Republican since I was in college.
“I believe in conservative values and I voted for Donald Trump in 2016 and again in 2020.
“But I’ll never vote for Mr. Trump again, Trump in 2016 was running against Hillary Clinton.
“And I just couldn’t stand another four years of Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump.
“He appeared, you know, to, to be, to have the conservative values.
“He had the business acumen, the business background.
“2016, we needed some help with the, with the economy.
“And I thought that Donald Trump would be a much better choice than Hillary Clinton.
“And actually I think he was, because I do think that Donald Trump did some decent things in his first four years in office.
“I think if Trump was the nominee in 2024, it would be a disaster for the Republican Party.
“I think there are many Republicans that would vote Democrat.
“I actually feel that Joe Biden would like to have Donald Trump.
“As the Republican nominee, because I think he would be very beatable.
“You know, if you look at Donald Trump today, he’s carrying so much baggage between it, not only January 6th, but the documents, the, the, the, the business dealings, the lies, his ethics, it’s just, it’s just so much weight to carry and so much, so much fodder for the Democrats to, to really, uh, key in on.
“I think, I think the Republican Party should focus their efforts on finding the best person, uh, who has the best shot of winning in 2024 for the Republicans.
“I do not believe that’s Donald Trump.”
