“All that baggage is going to discourage voters.”
“Hi, my name is Jerrold. I live in South Carolina.
“I am a Republican and voted for Donald Trump in 2016 and 2020.
“But I will not be voting for him in the 2024 primary.
“I don’t think there’s any way Donald Trump could win in the general election, even if it is Biden and Harris.
“All that baggage is just going to discourage any voters that are on the fence or unable to see through all the smoke and actually look at policy.
“We’ve got to appeal to the middle.
“We certainly can’t expect any hardcore leftists to vote for whoever we put up, but we’ve gotta get that middle, that voter, that swing voter, if you will.
“And we need someone besides Donald Trump.
“We need someone who is a statesman, someone who actually has a clear vision for the country and can articulate that, and someone who inspires people rather than bullying them.
“Donald Trump’s not going to beat whoever is on the Democratic ticket.
“So you need to look at the candidates that have Trump policy ideas, because they obviously work, but without all this baggage.
“I understand a lot of people are adamant to vote for Donald Trump, and he’s leading in the polls, but we have to think beyond the primary.
“We need to think beyond Trump. Trump could only serve one term, if he were to be elected.
“We need to find someone that can serve two terms.
“We need to turn this country back around.
“So I would ask you to please think hard about who you’re voting for in this primary.”
