“He is divisive…He is not uniting the Republican Party”
“My name is Terry, I live near Flint, Michigan, and I voted for Trump in 2016 and 2020, but I am not going to vote for him in 2024.
“I voted for Donald Trump in 2016 because he was saying real things about real problems that real people had. I like Trump policies. I liked what he did with the economy. I liked what he did in a whole variety of ways, cutting a lot of regulation, but I felt he inserted his own ego into the whole thing too much.
“And I felt that it diminished him in the eyes of the public. My problem with Donald Trump is he has baggage and it makes a lot of people not like him. And I think that’s why he lost the election in 2020 because he turned off a good bit part of the electorate. I think he’s divisive. And I think he, because he wants all the attention on himself, he’s not uniting the Republican party.
“I’m looking in the 2024 election for a Republican candidate that isn’t divisive. That cares about the entire country that is wanting to represent all Americans.”
